Post-Holiday Recoup with Hunee

Balearic, ambient, soul, disco, and soft rock; all words that describe Berlin’s transplant rising star Hunee. He has a calming essence to his music, which is perfect for zoning out and enjoying the moment. It’s never hard on the ears, and it makes the mind wander to places that reach beyond the imagination. His music is heard in the far far away dark corners of weird clubs in countries we only dream of visiting, and his music is sourced from equivalent rarity.  Please enjoy this calming trip that is Hunee on this recovering post-holiday week.

Hey Champ's "Sugar & Spice"

‘Tis the season for super fresh, happy jams that will bring one and all together for joyous celebration. I am HOPING to get a few holiday posts out to everyone a couple times this week, I think it’s the least I can do as a thanks for your support all year long. This is a re-edit on the 1963 classic by The Searchers  by Hey Champ. It’s got a warm, melodic feel to it to accompany that whiskey and tea concoction you’re sipping on. Please enjoy and don’t feed the reindeer.

Ghostfunk by Max Tannone

Beat blending maestro Max Tannone is back with another installment of an album consisting of hella bangin' hiphop vocals laid seamlessly over some vintage jazz/funk jams from many moons ago.  This time he chooses Ghostface Killah to manipulate. Sick back and enjoy one of the smoothest albums to be created in 2011.

Short Circuit's "After Burner" [& Late Night Drive E.P.]

Today has been a mish-mash of music research over here at 3dasd. Not much time to snoop around and not much really striking the ear as anything worthy of sharing. BUT..when more than one sense is influenced it changes the argument a little bit. Whats better than sweet choons than sweet choons and sweet graphics?? This is LA based Short Circuit, his sound is robo-pop/disco, and has a very arcade feeling behind it. I threw his EP in there for a real “hands on” feel as to what he’s been up to.

New and upcoming artists are the beating heart behind 3dasd. Without fresh inspiration, and without individuals saying “fuck it” and making music, 3dasd would be a website full half-naked girls and pixelated 1990s graphics. California natives Traveler took some drumstep/dubstep/glitch inspiration and slowed that shit right down..added some love..and voila! Lovestep. New genres, new artists, great day..please enjoy this fast-slow glitchy warmness that is California is 8 minutes.
